Senior Stray Dog Is So Grateful To Be Home That He Brings His Food Bowl To Bed

Senior Stray Dog Is So Grateful To Be Home That He Brings His Food Bowl To Bed

Lawrence Smith November 20, 2020

Neville is a ten-year-old stray dog that used to scavenge for food on the streets. But his life took a 360-degree turn when he met a woman named Suzanne, who gave his life a new beginning. Now Neville appreciates all the tiny things, even the fact that he now eats from a food bowl.

Neville, the stray dog

Not all dogs are fortunate enough to live in loving homes. Some of them are forced to survive on the streets as strays. They go for hours without eating anything and even become vulnerable to the attacks of fellow strays and mistreatment of humans.

This was the life of a ten-year-old Jack Russell named Neville before he met Suzanne. Fortunately, Neville was rescued by a local shelter. The local shelter gave Neville food to eat and a safe place to sleep. But everyone knew it would be even better if he had a real home and a loving family he could call his own.

Suzanne was browsing the website of a local shelter when she came across Neville’s photo. From the way Neville looked, Suzanne could only surmise that Neville had a terrible past. Her heart ached for the dog, and she was overwhelmed with the feeling of wanting to give him a home.

Suzanne wasted no time and went to the local shelter right away. When she met Neville in person, she fell in love in an instant. This feeling solidified her commitment to giving this poor dog a chance to live a better life.

Neville’s new life

When Suzanne took Neville home, she observed that the dog still had the habits of a stray. Neville competed for food with the other dogs and even ate directly from the floor. But little by little, Suzanne was able to train Neville to act like a domesticated dog.

Neville is now more well-mannered. But one thing that struck Suzanne the most is that Neville takes his food bowl with him even when he sleeps. She thinks it’s heartbreaking to see a former dog finding joy and comfort with a food bowl. Now, he doesn’t have to wrestle with the other strays for food or survive the harsh life on the streets day after day.

It’s good to know that Neville is now living a happier and safer life with Suzanne. Neville truly deserves all the love he gets.
