It’s just so heartwarming seeing children bond with their dogs. It’s a special relationship that the children will treasure forever. However, some kids are afraid of dogs that they would scream whenever dogs come near them.
Children develop a fear of dogs mainly because of a bad experience with the animal in the past. However, there are times when children just haven’t had any experience with dogs, and they don’t know what to expect when dogs come near them. A little boy named Marcelo Brookhouser was terrified of dogs.
Whenever dogs would come near Marcelo, he would run away, screaming and crying. Marcelo was adopted by a family that had a dog named Mini. Marcelo’s mom, Holly, soon discovered Marcelo’s fear of dogs when Marcelo would always run away and hide whenever Mini came near him.
However, Mini is a very friendly senior dog that loves children. Mini was relentless chasing Marcelo around to try and give him puppy kisses. Eventually, Marcelo got a little curious about Mini, and he started spending more time with her. When Mini gave Marcelo his first-ever puppy kisses, Marcelo completely changed. Marcelo fell in love with the little senior dog.
Ever since that first kiss, Marcelo and Mini became best friends, and the two of them became inseparable. Wherever Marcelo was, Mini would always be there watching over him and cuddling with him. Marcelo also loved having Mini around, and the two of them would do everything together.
Whether they’re playing outside or just watching TV inside, Marcelo and Mini would always be together. Whenever Marcelo is on the couch reading his books, Mini would always jump on the couch, cuddle with Marcelo and listen to him read his books.
Marcelo’s mom, Holly, eventually started sharing videos of Marcelo and Mini playing. Holly’s goal is to let people know that adopting a rescue dog can be a fantastic thing for a child. Thanks to Mini’s friendship, Marcelo got over his fear of dogs. Here’s a heartwarming video showing how Mini won over Marcelo’s heart and changed his mind about dogs.
