Dora’s a brown doggo who’s adored by her loving hoomans – she’s one of the family’s babies, and she never lacked love and care from her hooman family.
This one’s a lucky pet because this story ends on a happy note for all.
On a fourth of July celebration, this pet ran away – the popping fireworks gave her the willies, and the poor animal just upped and ran.
Dora’s family searched and searched – they didn’t stop at that and called every animal center they got a hold of.
This went on for seven months, but the family didn’t lose hope – fortunately for Dora, her dad got her chipped.
This decision saved the pet’s life, and Dora found herself prepped for a reunion after a scan identified her as a missing pet.
Dora lived in Frisco, and she was found in McKinney, Texas. That’s almost nineteen miles away from home, and we have no idea how that happened.
On the day of the reunion, Dora’s dad immediately knelt to hug his lost doggie – Dora took her sweet time, but when she caught that familiar scent, she couldn’t stop hugging her hooman.
We don’t know why fireworks scare furry animals so much, but loud sounds do terrify them as this story proves.
CCAS Adoptable encourages all to have their pets chipped – that way, finding lost ones would be easier, and abandoning them won’t be.
Fortunately, because Dora’s parents secured their beloved pet with a chip, this story gets a happy ending. We could just imagine the excitement the entire family felt when they learned that Dora’s coming home.
Good for you, pet! Forget the seven-month experience, and focus on the wonderful ones with your family. We’re sure a homecoming celebration’s in order, minus the fireworks, of course!
Thanks to our friends over at CCAS, and kudos to Dora’s loving family!
