Sherry Stewart is a volunteer from Delaware’s Faithful Friends Animal Society. One fateful day, she saved two pit bulls, Alfie and Frankie, from severe neglect and cruelty.
For months, Sherry worked on rehabilitating them by focusing on their well being. Not soon enough, both dogs were able to put their past behind and flourished into wonderful pets. Little did she know, they would become more than that.
Years later, 4-year-old Frankie and 9-year-old Alfie became the most valuable rescues in the shelter. Sherry even adopted both of them! The most exciting part is, they also started volunteering just like their owner!
They contribute by taking care of every animal in need of fostering. They help in every way possible as well. Until one day, three newly rescued kittens changed their lives forever.
Three kittens Bruce, Helen, and Willis, were rescued from the streets. They were all in a critical state. In fact, the vets needed to remove their eyes to save their lives.
With them completely blind, they needed attentive care and intense rehabilitating. So, Sherry brought all of them home, and her two pit bulls fell in love instantly.
It has been said that the three kittens trusted the two dogs immediately. It seems as though they knew that they are there to help them.
The five-person team became very close that it even came to the point that the kittens could lie down on the pit bull’s backs. So adorable!
Frankie and Alfie are such understanding dogs. Their owner believes that coming from a miserable life made them such caring creatures.
Of course, Sherry did a good job too! She raised them very well. Besides, we believe that an owner’s upbringing reflects on the dog’s behavior.
