Puerto Rican Stray Dog Finally Receives The Love He Deserves

Puerto Rican Stray Dog Finally Receives The Love He Deserves

Lawrence Smith June 6, 2020

Carrie Petrullo was following the Puerto Rico Dog Fund page when she came across Carlos’s story on their social media account. The veterinarians believed that someone was trying to end Carlos’ life because of the machete wound he sustained from his abusers.

Carrie admitted that seeing Carlos reminded her of her beloved rescue dog, Bronx, who recently passed away. Carrie thought she would never be able to get over losing Bronx, but it all changed when she saw Carlos.

Carlos suffered so many wounds, but Carrie did not care that he was in such horrible condition. Carrie immediately contacted the rescue group and told them that she would love to be Carlos’ mom as soon as he is well enough to fly to Arizona.

Carrie recalled that she immediately started to cry as soon as she saw the guy who was rolling Carlos from the cargo. Carrie felt so emotional because she knew that Carlos is going to be okay now.

Carrie admitted that she created a GoFundMe page for Carlos she used up her money paying for the dog’s veterinary expenses, and became behind on paying her mortgage. Carrie shared that she went to almost fifty doctor’s appointments in less than six months.

Carrie shared that Carlos’s doctors believed that Carlos’s hair follicles were so damaged that he was never going to grow his hair back, but Carlos proved them all wrong. Carlos went to the vet, and they were all surprised to see that he is now a healthy pup.

Carrie said that Carlos immediately fit right into her family. Carrie shared that her children never questioned why Carlos suffered from so many health issues and gave him all the love he needs.

Carlos loves babysitting all his human siblings and enjoys playing with them 24/7. Carrie shared that she is glad that Carlos treats her children like his siblings and watches them over every day.
