Training a dog to stay still may seem like a very simple trick. All they have to do is stay still. But ask many dog owners – it takes countless hours before they can nail this perfectly. Dogs love to move – it’s their nature.
They are curious and playful, especially when they are still young.
Zain and Envy are Border Collie siblings who were rescued by Kelly Bove. She decided one day to teach them to stay, and eventually, they were able to be good at it. So much so that she can get photographs of them without much hassle. Many dog owners know how difficult it is to take a decent picture of their pets.
In fact, the two dogs were so good at it that Kelly decided to turn her own personal account into her dogs’ account. She saw that the photos looked great and deemed them worthy to be shared with everyone. The internet agreed.
The account attracted a lot of followers, and almost thousands added each day. The turning point was when Kelly added a new trick to their repertoire.
Envy and Zain were taught by their mom how to hug. At first, it would be inanimate objects like trees, then, they eventually hugged each other. They were already very photogenic dogs, but when they added their new pose, people found them even more adorable.
Their followers skyrocketed and have reached almost half a million.
And now, they have a new brother to hug.
Kelly and her husband have contemplated adding a new pup to their family. They wanted it to be another rescue and ask around. They haven’t heard anything for months then they got a call from a shelter. A pregnant Border Collie was surrendered to them, and the puppies will be up for adoption.
For several weeks, Kelly drove for four hours to check on the puppies. When the litter was 2 months old, they were finally released. That’s when she took home Trek.
Zain and envy were excited to meet Trek and immediately welcomed him to their pack. They took the energetic pup under their wing and showed him the ropes. He hasn’t quite mastered their tricks yet, but he is getting there. Pretty soon, he will be a hugging dog as well.
